c1847 Born in Westbury on Trym, Glos., the son of Thomas Colerick Bird and his wife Ann

1851 Living at Middle Row, Newport, Salop: Thomas C. Bird (age 33 born Jamaica, British subject), Superintendent of Spirit and Wine Vaults. With his wife Ann Bird (age 33 born Leominster) and their four children; Thomas C. Bird (age 5 born Westbury on Trym, Glos.); Frederick A. Bird (age 4 born Westbury on Trym, Glos.); Herbert H. Bird (age 2 born Leominster; and William H. Bird (age 7 Months born Todpool, Salop). Also his brother-in-law George Bradford (age 28 born Leominster), Assistant in Wine and Spirit Vaults. Oner other. Three servants.[1]

1883 Mention of Frederick Augustus Bird trading as Henry Kenway, wholesale bottler, 100 Moor Street.[2]

1895 Bankrupt. Now manager of Kenway's Bottling Co. Has nine children. 1874 joined with his mother and brothers in a wine and spirit merchants and left in 1882. Then purchased the business of Henry Kenway, an ale and porter bottler which in 1890 became a limited company. In 1893 he became owner of the Central Restaurant and sold it in 1895.[3][4]

1906 Invention. Frederick Augustus Bird, Birmingham. Improvements in the manufacture of egg poachers.[5]

With his wife Mary Emily Bird (age 53 born Ladywood, Warks.) and his six children; George Frank Griffiths Bird (age 31 born Wylde Green, Warks.), manager, Electrical Switchgear Manufacturer; Sydney Raymond Bird (age 29 born Wylde Green, Wks.), Secretary of public company - Stamping Works; Jack William Gibbons Bird (age 19 born Yardley, Worcs.), Electric Motor Tester; Dorothy Emily May Bird (age 17 born Yardley, Worcs.), Milliner's Apprentice; Richard Henry Adolphus Bird (age 16 born Yardley, Worcs.), Electric Wiring Contractor; and Ethel Mary Maud Bird (age 11 born Gravelly Hill, Birmingham).
