1877 Patent. '2153. To Frederick Crompton Lake, of Rayne Foundry, near Braintree, in the county of Essex, Ironfounder and Agricultural Implement Maker, for the invention of "improvements in the construction of expanding horse-hoes."'[1]

With his wife Emily Lake (age 40 born Great Coggeshall) and their two children; William B. Lake (age 20 born Felstead), Agricultural Implement Maker; and Arthur E. Lake (age 13 born Felstead). One servant.[2]
1910 January 5th. Died. Of 222 Charnwood Street, Leicester. Probate to William Beard Lake, Engineer.
