FREDERICK SAUNDERSON, born in 1840, died at Douglas, Isle of Man, on the 9th July, 1911.

Having obtained his early training on railways in the North of Ireland, he settled down to the practice of his profession in the Isle of Man. Among the works which he carried out may be mentioned the Douglas and Laxey electric railway, reservoirs for the water-supply of Ramsey and Peel, Rushen waterworks extension, and the development of the Howstrake Estate, near Douglas.

Mr. Saunderson was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 14th April, 1896.
