Commander Fredman Ashe Lincoln QC, RNVR
Born in Bradford 1907.
Called to the Bar in 1929.
Enlisted in the RNVR in 1937.
Joined the Royal Navy at the outbreak of war in 1939.
Died 19 October 1998.
Commander F. Ashe Lincoln played a vital role during WW2 in dealing with the threat posed by Germany's secret underwater weapons (mines and torpedoes). He wrote a fascinating account of his wartime work, Secret Naval Investigator, first published in 1961, and published in a new edition in 2017.[1]
