1860 Established by Thomas Henzell and Thomas Freear.
1901 The Freear and Dix Steam Shipping Company Limited was registered, with a capital of £50,000, to acquire all or any of the shares or interest in the steamships Remembrance, Perseverance, and Lebanon, of the port of Sunderland, and Ellington, of the port of Newcastle, all previously under the management of Messrs Freear and Dix.[1]
1916 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[2]
1923 A company of the same name was registered.[3]
1929 The company was struck off and dissolved.[4]
