G. A. Woolvet, MTech, DIC, Member, obtained his post-graduate qualifications at Imperial College and was awarded an MTech at Brunel University in 1971. Between 1939 and 1949 he worked on light electro-mechanical mechanisms and from 1949-1952 was at the Technical Training College of the Indian Air Force in Bangalore. He spent eight years in Government service and industry on guided weapons before joining Kingston Polytechnic in 1960, where he is now Head of the School of Mechanical, Aeronautical and Production Engineering.
