1919 The Sheringham daylight reflector was exhibited at a meeting of the Illuminating Engineering Society; this used coloured reflector to correct the spectrum of the artificial source of light based on the invention of Mr. G. Sheringham, a well known artist, who used simple coloured reflectors or shades to improve the quality of light for painting.[1]
