1887 July 8th. Born in Huyton the son of Lawrence Fletcher.
1909 'Gordon L. Fletcher, of 13, Coolhurst-road, Crouch End, London, N., was summoned for riding motor cycle over the Bodenham trap at a speed of 29 mph.[1]
1911 'Gordon L. Fletcher. Crouch End, was summoned for exceeding the speed limit, on a motor cycle, at Pinner Road. Northwood....over 36 mph'[2]
1911 Living at The Hurst, 13 Coolhurst Road, Crouch End, London N: Lawrence Fletcher (age 49 born Liverpool). Manager of Gas Light Co. With his wife Grace Fletcher (age 50 born Carnarvon) and their son Lawrence Gordon Fletcher (age 23 born Huyton, Lancs.), Working Gas Engineer. One visitor and one servant.[3]

1934 'MOTORIST'S DOUBLE DRINK CHARGE Convicted of being twice under the influence of drink while in charge of a car within ten hours, Lawrence Gordon Fletcher, 47, motor engineer, of Swinderby-road, Wembley, was sentenced at Marylebone to two months' imprisonment, and disqualified from driving for five rears. It was stated that he was in collision with a motor lorry on Friday evening. Sergt. Spinks came to the conclusion that he was under the influence of drink and arrested him. He was kept in custody until 5 a.m., and was then allowed to drive the car away as he was quite sober. At 8.55 a.m. another officer saw him fall across the bonnet of his car. An empty whisky bottle was found upon him. It was mentioned that he was convicted of a similar offence in 1927.'
