1911 George Readings 18, apprentice to motor engineer, lived in Southend with his parents, Tom Readings 47, clerk of works in the building trade, Elizabeth Ellen Readings 50, and Robert Purdue Readings 21, Tom Readings 15[1]

WWI Served in France, 1914-19, in R.A.S.C. Mobile Workshops.

1919 Married Delia Tidy in Hambledon[2]

1920 Founded Surrey Hills Bus Co. and sold it to Aldershot and District Traction Co

1926 Established Black and White Motorways in Cheltenham

1931 Purchased control of Regent Motors (G. Readings Ltd.), Cheltenham.

1939 Managing Director Automobile Engineer, living in Cheltenham[3]

1953 Continued as Managing Director, Regent Motors (G. Readings Ltd.), Cheltenham.

1981 Died in Cheltenham[4]
