Tuckers operated four brickworks over the years and these where situated on Park Lane (this road was later renamed Beacon Road), Park Road (this road had previously known as Far Park Lane), William Street and the Great Central Works situated on Windmill Road (the part of the road where the works was accessed was later renamed Beeches Road).[1]

Founded by Gilbert Tucker (1806-1876) and his son Gilbert Tucker (1838-1920) and grandsons William Trueman Tucker (1861-1925) and Arthur Tucker (1869-1936)
