1899 Partnership change. '... the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, George Swingler and John Thomas Swingler carrying on business as Chain Manufacturers at 52 and 53 Staniforth-street Birmingham in the county of Warwick under the style or firm of G. and J. Swingler was dissolved as and from the 25th day of December 1898, by mutual consent. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said John Thomas Swingler and George William Swingler by whom the said business will in future be carried on under the same style...'[1]

AND J. SWINGLER," has been dissolved as from the date hereof so far as concerns the said George William Swingler, who retires from the said firm.
