1846 Advert: 'EXTENSIVE SALE of costly LATHES, TOOLS, PATTERNS, Stock of Barron's Patent Brass LOCKS, KEYS, Brass Handles, Burnished Screws, Old Steel, &c.
TO be SOLD by AUCTION, by Messrs. WALKER, PAGE, and LOVERIDGE, this present Monday, to-morrow (Tuesday), Thursday, and Friday, March the 9th, 10th, 12th, and 13th, at the Warehouse and Shopping of Messrs. G. and T. Turner, Stafford-street, Wolverhampon, who are retiring from business—the whole of their valuable STOCK IN TRADE, TOOLS, &c, consisting of eight valuable and costly LATHES, including three made by Messrs. Maudsley, of London, wrought iron press, anvils, vices, bellows, tools and patterns, upwards of 500 dozens of Barron's Patent and other Locks, consisting of till, cupboard, desk, cabinet, &c. &c, cast keys, brass handles, burnished screws, quantity of old brass, steel, &.c. &c.
The Lathes and Tools will be sold on Thursday the 12th.
The sale will commence each morning punctually at eleven o'clock.'[1]
