1975 Company formed by GKN to operate a national pallet hire pool[1] in partnership with Brambles Industries of Australia[2]

1977 Had many major food and grocery companies amongst its customers[3]

By 1987 was also operating a container pool[4]

1990 Plans to expand further in Europe; their advantage was said to be that they operated a pool of pallets whereas other firms sold pallets which were then left to the client to replace after use[5]

2001 Brambles Industries absorbed Chep[6]
