Built in 1822 for the Birmingham Gas Light and Coke Company, with the retort house extension with attached store built 1828. See Historic England Listing here.[1]

Of particular interest is the 35 ft span iron roof. The components are thought to have been produced by the Phoenix Foundry, Snowhill, Birmingham. See photograph showing roof structure. Source here.

The building is now licensed for Church of England worship, and known as St Luke's Gas Street.
