1885 Partnership dissolved. '... the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, John Alfred Gee and Edward Topping Gee, carrying on business under the style or firm of E. T. Gee and Sons, at 35, Atherton-street, in the city of Liverpool, as Braziers and Tinsmiths, has this day been dissolved, by mutual consent, the said Edward Topping Gee retiring therefrom. All debts will be paid and accounts received by the said John Alfred Gee, who will carry on the business as heretofore...'[1]
1935 'A new industry, that of making metalised paper containers for oil, is to be started in Liverpool shortly. They will be made by the Gee Manufacturing Co. of Signal Works road, Walton, the well-known manufacturers of containers. Mr. Gee, the managing director, told the Echo to-day that a new company had been formed to put the containers on the market. "We are not quite ready to start making them, but I hope to have something more to say on the matter in about month's time. and we hope to build up a nice business in this line." he said. About 100 people, it is understood, will he employed in the new industry.'[2]
