Career: Marlborough; Faraday House (Silver Medal and Hons.); G.E. Co. Inc., Schenectady, U.S.A., 1913-14; Regular Commission R.F.A.; 1914-20, service in France, Macedonia, South Russia and Turkey. Twice mentioned in despatches, transferred to Reserve of Officers R.A., 1920; joined L. & N.W. Rly., 1920 as Jnr. Asst.; subsequently in the L.M.S. Rly. as Traction Asst. to Elect. Engr.; Traction Asst. and Engr., Southern Electrified Lines (L.M.S. Rly.) and present appointment.
