1882 'Mr. George Artingstall, a magistrate of Warrington and of the County of Lancaster, died at his residence, Wilderspool, on Tuesday morning, aged 73. The deceased carried on an extensive business in Warrington under the name of George Artingstall and Co., the Wire Works and Brush Manufactory, manufacturers of machine wire, Russian hair machine brushes, wood cylinders and floor dressing machines, &c. His death was a great surprise to many of his friends, on the previous Wednesday took part in the magisterial proceedings at the Warrington County Police Court. [5]
