1890 Died. 'Mr. George Betzold, the senior member of the firm of Messrs. George Betzold & Co., who died at his residence, Anhalt House, Derryvolgie-avenue, Lisburn-road, Belfast. On Saturday week he was prostrated with an attack of influenza, and on Friday last the malady developed into acute pneumonia, which terminated fatally at twelve o'clock to-day. Mr. Betzold was well known in commercial circles, and was a most prominent member of the Linen Merchants’ Association, the Ulster Reform Club, and other organisations.'[1] He left a wife and three children.
