George Burge, cement manufacturer, of 143 Cannon St, London and Bee Hive cement works, Frindsbury[1]

1889 George Burge was reported to be planning to erect or acquire the Beehive Cement Works at Frindsbury[2]

1890 The Beehive works at Frindsbury were leased to William Levett.

1892 The company of William Levett and Co was formed to acquire from Mr George Burge and Messrs Burge and Hanley the Beehive works at Frindsbury and the Elmley Cement Works at Sittingbourne[3]
