1945 George G. McDiarmid Limited was incorporated, with capital of £3,000, to acquire and carry on the business of motor engineer, smith, coach and body builder, painter and trimmer, and agricultural implement maker, carried on at 17 Cross Arthurlie Street, Barrhead, by George G. McDiarmid.[1]

1986 The company went into receivership.[2]
