1790 Established by George Sandeman, who came from Perth to London.
The founder of the firm lived in Sherborne Lane; the later offices in St. Swithin's Lane were part of that building.
1902 Incorporated; owned by the members of the Sandeman family.
1914 The Board of Directors consisted of Albert Geo. Sandeman (Chairman), Walter Albert Sandeman, Ernest Albert Sandeman, H. Gerard, W. Sandeman.
1933 Trade marks dispute between Sandemans (Edinburgh) and George G. Sandeman Sons and Co Ltd (London) regarding Scotch whisky. In 1939 the Edinburgh company sold its trade marks to the London. Prior to this the businesses were not connected.[1]
