1897 He broke the world record for the 24 road record of 414 miles and the 12 hour record of 223 miles.

The Inquirer & Commercial News (Perth) said he was a 'Demon road racer'

He had patents for machines and he was an engineer in later life in Nottingham.

His brother John Hunt was also a cyclist
