1861 Living at Back Street, Thetford: Joseph Fowell (age 45 born Thetford), Agricultural Engineer. With his wife Sarah Fowell (age 45 born Cavenham) and eight children; George Fowell (age 19 born Thetford), Engine Fitter; Sarah Fowell (age 16 born Thetford); Joseph Fowell (age 14 born Thetford), Model Maker; Jane Fowell (age 13 born Thetford); Ellen Fowell (age 11 born Thetford); Harry Fowell (age 9 born Thetford); Elizabeth Fowell (age 7 born Thetford); and Hannah Fowell (age 3 born Thetford).[1]

1871 Patent. '3105. To Charles Burrell, of Saint Nicholas Works, Thetford, in the county of Norfolk, and George John Fowell, of the same place, for the invention of "improvements in elastic wheel tyres."'[2]

1900 November 30th. Died age 58.[3]
