George Mowlem Burt (1884–1964)

1884 Born in Westminster, son of George Burt (1851–1919) and his wife and cousin, Emily Arbon. He was a nephew of John Mowlem Burt.

Educated at Clifton College, where he first took up fencing.

1913 George Mowlem Burt joined the board of John Mowlem and Co

On the death of his father he became supervising director.

1939 Assoc.Inst.C.E Director, John Mowlem and Co., Ltd., 91, Ebury Bridge Road, S.W.1.

1942 Knighted by George VI

1964 Died at Blindley Heath, Surrey.
