George Rennoldson of South Shields

c.1800 Mr. George Rennoldson founded a works in Wapping-street, South Shields, later known under the title of J. P. Rennoldson and Sons Limited.[1]

1837 Possibly built a locomotive for the Stanhope and Tyne Railway. The boiler exploded in the yard and killed two people on 20th November [2]
