1834 Business founded by George Scott

1848 George Scott introduced a direct-acting steam crane which he found to be useful in lofty warehouses, so continued to make and improve them.[1]

Presumably sometime around 1871 became George Scott and Son of Christian Street, London E, which is just off Commercial Road.
