1875 Patent granted to John Scoffern, of the Canal Bank Works, Willesden Junction, in the county of Middlesex, Bachelor of Medicine, and George Tidcombe, junior, of Watford, in the county of Hertford, Paper Makers' Engineer, for the invention of "improvements in the manufacture and treat-ment of paper and millboard," dated the 5th dayof March, 1875, No. 827 was subsequently the subject of a application by Elkanah Healey, of Oakfield, Gatacre, near Liverpool, in the county of Lancaster, Esq., the Assignee of the said Letters Patent, and the said John Scotfern and George Tidcombe, junior, have applied by petition to the Commissioners of Patents, for leave to enter a Disclaimer and Memorandum of Alteration of certain parts of the specification of the said Letters Patent[3]
