George Watson (1868-1952) M.Inst.C.E., M.I.Mech.E., of Horsfall Destructor Co
1868 Born son of John Watson, land agent, of Shirburn, Wallingford.
Ed. Yorkshire College (later Leeds University).
Trained under David Grieg, M.Inst.C.E., Managing Director of John Fowler and Co, engineers, Leeds.
1891 George Watson 22, engineer, Frank L Watson 19, engineering student, Dora Watson 36, artist, were all lodging in the same house in Leeds[1]
Received Telford Premium and George Stephenson Medal for paper contributed to the Institution of Civil Engineers.
1893 Associate Member I Mech E
1894 Associate member of the Institution of Civil Engineers
1900 Elected member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers
1906 full membership of Institution of Civil Engineers
Specially experienced in refuse and sewage disposal, furnaces and steam raising. Has also specialized in works management and valuation.
By 1922 Civil and Consulting Engineer of Walter House, Bedford Street, Strand, W.C.2.
