George West (USA)

From Graces Guide

George West emigrated to the USA from England in 1849. In 1861 he settled in Saratoga County, and went on to establish the George West Paper and Bag Co, which became one of the most successful makers of manila paper and paper bags in the world. He was also elected to the New York State Assembly and US House of Representatives.

A biography of George West was published in 1999.[1] [2]
