1954 Died. 'Mr. Power was born at Water Orton and educated at King Edward's School. He devoted his life to business and after becoming a director of Fredk. A. Power and Sons (Saltley) Ltd., introduced into this country from the United States a new method of box closure by tensional steel strapping. Later he was instrumental in forming another company. Fredk. A. Power and Sons (Box Strapping) Ltd. He was chairman of several other companies the Package Sealing Co. Ltd.. the Package Sealing Co. (Export) Ltd.. Industrial Trucks Ltd.. Harcraft Ltd.. and Industrial Drives Ltd. He leaves a widow. four sons and two daughters.'[3]
