1919 'The Gibbons cyclecar, made at Chadwell Heath, Essex, has been described once or twice in the press, but it is worth recalling. It has no frame, the body being very simple and strong enough support seats, engine, gear shaft, and tanks, the whole being mounted direct on the axles with coil springs between. is so light (24 cwt. complete) that a 4 h.p. single-cylinder Jap is sufficient to propel the outfit with two occupants. The price is only £98, while for a further £28 full equipment can be obtained — Tri-screen, hood, lamps, disc wheels, tools', and horn. In conversation with Mr Gibbons, the designer, the other day, I was told that the firm had been manufacturing aeroplane parts during the war and now making arrangements for the production of this excellent little four-wheeler on a "mass" scale, deliveries to begin next January.'
