1919 'Messrs. Gibbs and Co., York, have been quick to recognise the possibilities the farm tractor, their Fawcett-street works being one of the finest equipped engineering shops in the county of broad acres. In addition to undertaking the complete overhaul of any make of tractor, they can manufacture spare parts of all kinds in their extensive machine shops. The principal, Mr. John E. Gibbs, A.M.1.M.E., M.1.A.E.. has long and varied experience in the construction of tractors farm machinery.'
