1946 Bovis Public Works Ltd was renamed Gilbert-Ash Ltd[1]

1959 The company had gained a substantial amount of work in reconstruction of industrial, local authority and governmental buildings; offices in Stevenage, Coventry and Liverpool; opened a new regional office in Glasgow.[2]

1960 Gilbert-Ash (Scotland) Ltd was incorporated

1965 Established a new factory in Hamilton for production of industrialised building components[3]

1971 Gilbert-Ash (Scotland) was renamed Gilbert Ash Scotland Ltd

1971 Decline in interest in use of system building, something which most of the large contractors used for public sector projects such as housing[4]

1973 Gilbert Ash Scotland Ltd became Bovis Construction Scotland Ltd

1974 Bovis Construction Scotland renamed Gilbert Ash Scotland Ltd

1983 Gilbert Ash Scotland was renamed Gilbert Ash Construction Ltd

1984 Renamed GA Construction Ltd, then GA Group Construction Ltd

1997 Renamed HBG GA Construction Ltd

1999 Renamed HBG Construction Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hollandsche Beton Groep n.v. of The Netherlands.

Later subsidiary of Royal BAM Group n.v. of The Netherlands.
