1848 Company established under the style of Gilroy Brothers and Co.
1867 Was one of the industrial venues hosting visitors to the British Association's meeting in Dundee[1]
The Tay Works had a frontage of 1000 feet to the Lochee Road, and rose five stories in the centre, and four along the wings. These works were devoted almost exclusively to jute manufactures, the raw material being imported direct from Calcutta.
1890 Renamed as Gilroy, Sons and Co
