Giuseppe Belluzzo
Born in Verona on 25 Nov. 1876.
Graduated from Milan Polytechnic.
1910 Appointed professor of construction of thermal and hydraulic engines in the higher technical institute of Milan.
1929 Moved to the School of Engineering in Rome and assigned to the chair of machine building.
He wrote classic treatises on steam and gas turbines and on the construction of steam turbines. The Breda factories built locomotives equipped with Belluzzo turbines; Turbines of the Belluzzo type equipped thirteen major Italian warships, and ships of foreign navies, including Russian.
Gadda & Co built Belluzzo-designed steam turbines. They also carried out experimental work with Belluzzo in their works in 1906.
Giuseppe Belluzzo died on May 21, 1952.
