Also known as Millhaugh Distillery. The distillery was visited by Alfred Barnard, who noted annual output as being 60,000 gallons. He also described it as being the newest distillery in the district.[1]

1887 The distillery was sold to W. and A. Gilbey by James Stuart and Co for £11,500, a price said to be below the cost of construction three years earlier.[2]

1970 The number of still was increased from two to four.[3]

The distillery remained in Gilbey's ownership until passing, through mergers, under the successive control of International Distillers and Vintners, Grand Metropolitan and finally, Diageo.
