1820 Commenced on The Quay. Moved to new premises at Hempstead in 1878 and in 1890 built premises on Eastgate Street. Now employ 93 persons.[1]

1908 Directors: R. V. Vassar-Smith (Ohairmah), J. Jones (Deputy-Chairman), G. Aldridge, H. W. Bruton, J. M. Collett, T. S. Ellis, and H. W. Grimes. Engineer: W. S. Morland. Secretary: W. E. Vinson.
