1948 Gooch and Housego was established, manufacturing crystal-based scientific optical components.
1953 Manufacturers of piezoelectric quartz crystal blanks; insulators (Silica), fused quartz components, special scientific requirements; glass components, prisms, lenses, optical flats.
Since that date the company has grown, and expanded through acquisition, to 9 manufacturing sites across the world; it is a high-technology photonics business.
1997 G&H was admitted to the alternative investment market (AIM) on the London Stock Exchange.
