1957 New factory opened outside Glasgow
1961 Manufacturers of tyres and tubes, transmission belting, rubber and asbestos packing, moulded rubber goods, including fan belts, rubber flooring hose and footwear. 6,200 employees. [2]
1963 Motor Show exhibitor. Car Tyres. [3]
1972 Redman Heenan Froude installed its first furnace specifically designed for disposal of tyres at Goodyear's plant in Wolverhampton[4]
1974 Mr. Challen E. Taylor was appointed director of product research and development of the International Industrial Products Technical Centre in Craigavon, North Ireland.[5]
1974 Looked into recycling old car and truck tyres to yield oil, in conjunction with Tasco Oil Corporation of USA.[6]
1988 Became Goodyear Great Britain Ltd
2003 Became Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK Ltd
2012 Became Goodyear Tyres UK Ltd
