1920 Manufacturers of “Grampian” Marine Motors

1907 Grampian Engineering and Motor Company Limited was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £5,000, to acquire the business carried on by John Simpson & Co at Stirling.[1] The firm of John Simpson & Co, engineers, Stirling, was dissolved on 1st May. Grampian Engineering and Motor Company Limited acquired the goodwill and certain of the assets of the firm.[2]

1911 The company went into voluntary liquidation in July.[3] A new company of the same name was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £8,000 "to acquire the business until lately carried on at the same place and under the same name".[4]

2003 The company, whose name changed at some point to Grampian Engineering Company Limited, went into voluntary liquidation.[5]

2008 The company was dissolved.[6]
