Grosvenor Bridge, Chester

Architect's scale model of the Grosvenor Bridge, probably made in 1826. Location: overlooking Castle Drive, on the north east side of the bridge

1827-33 Masonry Bridge over the River Dee, designed by Thomas Harrison and built by James Trubshaw, with Jesse Hartley as Engineer.

When built, it was the largest stone arch bridge in the world, with a single span of 200 ft.
