Gwendraeth Valleys Railway

1864 The company was incorporated. [1]

Just three miles of track and two engines, it was promoted as a goods line by the Carmarthen and Cardigan Railway and opened in 1871.

From 1892-1903 the Burry Port and Gwendraeth Valley Railway worked this line. [2]

1904 The line was sold to Kidwelly Tinplate Works.

1923 Became part of the Great Western Railway. [3]
