Brassert and Co., of Chicago, who tis one of the leading and most influential figures in the world's iron and steel trade, visited Cardiff last week...Mr. Brassert, who is a Londoner by birth, has lived in the United States of America for thirty years, during fifteen of which he was connected with the United States Steel Corporation. As a consulting engineer he does business on a large scale in every country in the world where there is an iron and steel industry. His activities cover the construction of new plant and the rehabilitation of existing plants as well as the financial side of the industry, and he has been instrumental in getting American loans for various countries throughout Europe and further afield to meet the varying needs of the industry.
