1907 Brighton grocer Horace Green created exclusive sponge cake mixes that he sold in his own shop.
Following the success of his exclusive recipes and his customers’ demand for simple, easy-to-bake cake and dessert mixtures, Green moved into a dedicated production facility that was soon providing the whole country with high quality, time-saving recipes.

1962 Acquired by the Pillsbury Co, a US milling and food group[3]
Greens, maker of pre-packed baking mixes, was later owned by Grand Metropolitan and Dalgety[4].
Brands include Borwick's, Pearce Duff as well as Green's
