HENRY JAMES PRESTON died on December 27, 1923, at his residence, Avenue House, Kettering.

He was born in April 1862, and was a son of the late Mr. F. W. Preston, whom he had succeeded as managing director of the Kettering Iron and Coal Co.

He was also managing director of the company operating ironstone workings at Luffenham, near Stamford.

He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1893.
