1906 Company established by Harold W. Smith.

1920 Went into receivership as a result of the post-war slump.

1920 Incorporated under present name (run by the Official Receiver?).

1922 Manufacturer of rubber insulated electric cables cotton-covered wires, plain copper wires, electrical wires of all classes, motor car cables, etc.

1925 The business was taken over by the Edison Swan Electric Co, who held it until 1966, when the premises were sold to the Reed Paper Group.

Harold W. Smith went on to form another company to produce wire at Lydrook, Temco.
