HB Ice Cream

From Graces Guide

1900 Hughes Brothers of Hazelbrook Farm, Rathfarnham, Dublin began trading as Hazelbrook Dairies.

1924 The brothers (James, George and William Hughes) had pioneered the pasteurisation process.

1926 Production of HB Ice Cream began.

1964 The milk distribution operations of HB were transferred to Premier Dairies. The remainder of the company was sold to W. R. Grace and Co and eventually became part of Unilever in 1973.

2005 The HB Ice Cream plant in Rathfarnham was closed.

Today the ice cream brand is part of the Unilever Group Heartbrand ice cream brand.
