First-Class Battleship.

1902 William Henry White, as director of Naval Construction, led the design of 35 battleships of the King Edward VII class, of 16,500 tons, with an armament of four 12 inch guns, four 9.2 inch guns, and ten 6 inch guns, and a speed of 18½ knots. The cost was £1,500,000 each. Several of these vessels served during the First World War.
