HMS Leeds Castle

From Graces Guide
1945. HMS Corvette Leeds Castle.

HMS Corvette Leeds Castle originally was with pennant number K384. Built by W. Pickersgill and Sons in Sunderland, she was launched in October 1943 and completed in February 1944.

She served in the B3 Escort Group in World War II protecting Atlantic convoys until 1945. She was re-designed as a frigate in 1948 and subsequently her pennant number was changed to F384. Another notable point in her history was when she took part in the Fleet Review to celebrate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.

She was scrapped in 1958.[1]
