1913 Jonas Haley, card clothing manufacturer, and John Henry Pinder, engineer, both of Cleckheaton applied for patent on improvement in machines for hammering wire drawing dies

c.1924 Invented a battering machine for battering of the single hole dies after the first breaking-down operation on wire under manufacturer. The machines were made by George Crossley and Co

by 1919 Pinder was an engineer working for S. Haley and Son of Cleckheaton, of which Jonas Haley was a director.

1929 Applied for patent on Improvement relating in heat treatment of metallic wire or strip
